I was making the statement in the context of who should take losses in a restructuring if there is NOTHING to recover or a shortfall in the case of MF. (But you didn't read my pervious post, you just ****-UMED). Bondholders over the years have been nearly assured through political ****-kissing that they will be made whole. Whether it was seniors holding GM or banks holding sovereign debt. If there is a shortfall in recovery then bondholders should eat the loss after the common holders are wiped out. AND NOT the customers, vendors or taxpayers who are sacrificed to make bondholders whole.

Now what will you think of now? Don't give up

Re: Bondholders are EVERYTHING that is wrong with the Financial Industry... bonds are MORTGAGES against the company assets.... sooooo in your view, companies that take out mortgages they can't pay back should screw the lender..... but if it's a homeowner that can't pay the mortgage, protect the lender and kick the homeowner to the curb..

Absolutely astounding someone's mind can hold those two thoughts simultaneously
