You are right, $6.5 billion is definitely worthy.
Everything in the future should be an API, and System-level APIs expose IT resources such as data stores and core systems.

There are two schools of thoughts:
1. Mule Soft is an expensive acq.
2. Mule Soft is a strategic acquisition, so it's worth it.
I call in the latter camp.
