i had owned gss, but cut my losses. they have provided production guidance several times now and whiffed. how they are not able to turn a profit in this environment is beyond me.
the price has discounted a lot of failure already, and i think if they can show real results this quarter the stock will move. but you will have to wait until the next "update" from management to know if they've turned the boat.
meantime there are numerous other miners that have better momentum. if you're truly looking long term i don't know how many true long term stocks there are going to be - i'd guess nem, abx, and gg would be 3 of them. maybe some of the better mid-tier names too. probably leoncina knows better than me, or maybe even stormcat.
my holdings of miners i am planning probably to sell by end of year or q1 next year at latest as i think the juicy part of the move happens before christmas.

congrats, you have been playing this move beautiful. I bought calls back in July as well but already sold them (nice gains but wish I still had em). Now the premiums are getting ridiculous.
Any thoughts on GSS? looking for a longer term play for my kids account.
