Only concern would be the fact that if you invest in BABA you not actually investing in the company but rather a VIE which is a shell company that has contracts with Alibaba, the actual company. If China really wanted to stiff the US, they could simply rule that VIE's are prohibited under Chinese law and the shell company would become worthless overnight.
BABA... its 95% a domestic company right? So what does a trade war have to do with anything for them. I'm wondering if they aren't seeing MORE not less business within China as foreign suppliers are choked off from tariffs. Thoughts?
