Re: Yes I like the feedback form on EBay but have never bought from EBay but have bought lottsa stuff from Craigslist and kijiji.

That's what I'm thinking, with the Ebay feedback form and the fact that people there sell from their account, that possible that would mean "they back up what they sell" - to an extent. Buying from a private party is always Caveat Emptor - that's why I never buy any used computers - don't trust people - but I'm thinking that Ebay sellers can't just stick people with junk.

Need more info on buying electronics (especially used) on Ebay.

Re: Ebay: Used Phones and Laptops - a friend bought a used phone from Ebay - $25 ...

Yes I like the feedback form on EBay but have never bought from EBay but have bought lottsa stuff from Craigslist and kijiji. Bought a $1600 set of snow tires barely used (full size car) for $300.00...still had the rubber nibs/ spikes on them. Bought Travertine tiles- 50% cheaper than HD. In regards to buying used smartphones be careful cuz if you buy a stolen one you may not be able to activate it. I own an IPhone and am not impressed and my next purchase would not be Apple and will prob be a notepad because of the larger screen. Also shop around as their are some wickedly fast smart phones out there and the "competitive" war has just begun with price wars next IMHO. My IPhone 3G ($700.00) was free with a contract and what I did was while at the cottage for 5 months made a few trades that will basically cover the cost of my Plan.
