I'm assuming you're talking about the Bid/Ask Spread? Big variables between micro, small and Large caps. The spread matters the most in micro's, because if the bid is missing by more than a few cents, and there are no bidders, penny traders will take the gap down. Most Large cap trades are driven more by fundamentals than technical's. You can never solely rely on a spread to evaluate a trade; too many other variables, like open option interest.

Trying to learn about swing trading. None of the tutorials seem to mention the typical spread (monetary amount) swing traders use between buying and selling. I understand it could be any amount, but what is typical or common?
