You are a good man for doing that. I am doing what I can with my customers to help pay their insurance payments or lower the coverage temporarily till things change. Both my daughters are teachers and I buy supplies like cases of paper they don't get enough of and give it to them.
What I have become cynical of in my old age is companies and ceo's that do something and then go out and promote the fact they did it. The CEO of P&G listed all his products they make like a commercial. In my opinion just do it and let someone else or let the news tell people what these companies are doing to help out. In other words do it because they can, not to self promote.

I agree, but if you're donating millions in $$ and product
a few minutes on stage isn't giving up much.
Have you donated anything?
When I found out i'd be getting $1200 I thought about what I could do with it,,,
Started looking at buying some fishing tackle,,but then thought, I don't really
need that stuff.
So, a few miles from where I live there's a small town, 600 people, with a small
K-8th grade school. I know the principal so I called him,,they are still passing out
meals to the school children.
Asked him if there were any kids who were having trouble paying for their lunches
and stuff? Several he said.
So yesterday I met with the principal and covered the costs of meals for 30 students
that needed help for the next month.
All of us can do something positive that helps people in need.
