Drinks Americas Expanding Sales of Rheingold Beer in Texas

WILTON, Conn., Sep 7, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Drinks Americas
Holdings, Ltd. (OTCBB:DKAM) a leading importer, developer and marketer of
beverage products, announced today that Rheingold Beer, New York's Beer since
1883, will be sold in 35 Spec's stores throughout the great State of Texas.
Rheingold Beer was launched by Drinks Americas in September of last year and is
now available in 12 states and is continuing to expand nationally.
Joe Belli, National Sales Manager for Rheingold Beer stated, "It is great to be
able to reach consumers in Texas through the Spec's retail chain. We are
supporting the brand with tastings and memorabilia posters, and the consumer
response has been very positive. Everyone agrees that the historic Rheingold
Beer tastes great."
Spec's, which sells in excess of $500 million in business annually, recently
announced that they will be expanding to Dallas, announcing that the Dallas
entry will be Spec's farthest move north in the Texas market, and it's only part
of an ambitious expansion across the state. Spec's recently opened a
30,000-square-foot store in El Paso, marking its first entry into the West Texas
market. The retailer also operates 10 stores in the Austin area. Currently
boasting 93 units, it is reported Spec's will open two more outlets in the
coming weeks--one in Killeen and one in Georgetown. Rheingold Beer is available
in 35 Specs outlets.
