|ECONOMIC REALITY in America. The election is over and the finger pointing and infighting has already begun with both sides refusing to budge while blaming each other. There needs to be a balance between realistic spending and the inevitable taxes it takes to run a country for the good of all citizens.|
To increase taxes without getting deficit spending under control is hypocrisy. ANY tax increases need to be earmarked in a separate fund to reduce the deficit or it's a waste of time.
The size of our military is ridiculous so start cutting there. (This coming from an inactive Marine. It's my birthday btw i'm 237 years old the Corps started at Tun Tavern in 1775).
We have too many people working in public service. City, county, state, Federal. We have too many people on all kinds of forms of public assistance. This must be reversed with decent jobs and push these people back to the private sector. Public sector unions have to go. Public sector employees are drawing pay, benefits and pension packages that have long since disappeared in the private sector.
I'm not advocating ignoring the poor and suffering to the advantage of business and saving money. NOBODY should starve in America. PERIOD.
Finally i must say i am disgusted with my party the GOP. They have shown a callous disregard of the very citizens they claim they want to represent. MORON Romney lost the election the DAY he arrogantly stated he could care less about the 47% of Americans who don't pay income taxes. Not to mention the GOP INSISTING on fighting the abortion issue that was decided 40 YEARS AGO by the Supreme Court thus alienating half the voters in women every election. The GOP needs to evolve or we're going to a one party system. Before you Democrats even start to think how great that would be let me remind you single party rule always leads to fascism.
In closing here's a little story that illustrates what happens when people figure out how to get out of working. Before anyone flames me it's an EXAMPLE not the norm.
A Ford Dealer's Report:
From Tom Selkis' (Latham Ford) Facebook.......... True story yesterday at the dealership.....
"I'll try to make this as short and to the point as I can. One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus. As he was reviewing her credit app with her he noticed she was on social security disability. He said to her you don't look like your disabled and unable to work. She said well I'm really not, I could work if I wanted to but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury). She said the gov't sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check, she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00 a month for rent. Oh yeah and 250 minutes free on her phone. That is just south of $3500.00 a month. When she was working she was taking home about $330.00 per week. Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work. If you multiply that by millions of people you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country. Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished. The question is when do we cross that threshold, if we haven't already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people? Riots?? Be prepared to protect your homes.
She didn't lease the Focus here because the dealer down the road beat our deal $by 10.00/month. Glad to know she is so frugal with her hard-earned money."
