If the company can't compete in the free market then so be it. However, if the company went under do to labor costs and the new buyer profitably runs it with non-union labor, then the union will have once again proven to have been the problem. No surprise.

Apparently, union "Workers" prefer no job as opposed to what they had. Under Obama, costs will go up as more regs and Obamacare come online, so things will get worse. The union members who voted for Obama have themselves to blame.

If the pay cuts were too deep, then the employees will find better job jobs elsewhere, so what's the problem?

Re: Back in the early 1900's, unions were essential because workers were lite...

Hostess went bankrupt in 2004. For the next 4-5 years the unions took pay cuts and benefit cuts (and received no pay increases) and the dumb **** company still went bankrupt again in 08 or 09. Now they are paying the "trouble shooter" CEO 125k a month to cut worker pay even further. Ask yourself how many pay cuts are you willing to take at your job before you've had enough? Then ask yourself how much longer this economy can survive as middle class jobs are all turned into minimum wage jobs all the while the management are receiving higher and higher compansations.
