Re: Syrian dictator Assad orders gas attack in rebel stronghold Idlib

Syrian army is in tatters and is no match against the rebel factions in Idlib (never mind the powerful Turkish army) including the well-armed Nusra Front and remnants of ISIS.
The latest US intel is that Assad isn't even able round up enough soldiers to launch a full-scale conventional offensive so an extensive poison gas attack is now very likely.
In response to this, Trump should not only bomb Syrian military targets but Russian and Iranian ones as well.

Re: Syrian dictator Assad orders gas attack in rebel stronghold Idlib

I don't believe the US will respond with military force in response to the gas attack. Since this is the last stronghold for the rebels, and the last obstacle for the Syrian government to reclaim almost all of Syria, the likelihood of Syria carrying out this atrocity is very strong. US morale is too low right now to launch any campaign overseas...even in response to such a heinous act. Erdogan and Turkey will probably be the next target of Assad's aggression as Erdogan has already taken Syrian territory after an offensive against kurdish militants in the area and has stated he has no intention of giving it back.....something Assad will definitely address. Expect Turkey's relations with the west to improve in the near future, because if Assad is this bold and Russia is there to back him, Erdogan is going to need NATO in his corner.
