We have 3 chart set-up examples explained at the Traders Cove scooper-- 1 for "daily," 1 for bottom bouncers (coined "Pinchers") and 1 (I personally use) for Intraday: http://www.thelion.com/bin/forum.cgi?tf=the_traders_cove&t=

Hopefully this may give you a start :) Moreover as santelli's link suggests, stockcharts.com has a nice education section. I'd suggest getting to know the 3 basic types of indicators: Volume/Money Flow, Momentum and Trending.

Secondly consider learning a few "patterns"-- I like this site for simplicity: http://www.freetradingvideos.com/chart-school.asp

You may also consider learning candlesticks: http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:introduction_to_candlesticks

TA is a very powerful tool-- I started trading using Fundamental Analysis; but can't imagine trading how without TA.

I think the strength of a trader is proportional to the amount of tools he/she is able to comprehend and integrate into his/her personal trading strategies.

I also believe a successful trader is one that follows the path of other "snowflakes" but remains their own unique and independent one FWIW

Best of Luck to You :)

I see traders already saying they trade on the chart. (I swing trade on other indicators). I'd like to see some help here on chart setups. The studies to setup for say daytrade momo, or looking at a longer period.

And say a daytrade momo, what indicator tells you to get back in and what to sell. (I am not good at intraday momo, thus the swingtrading). I'd love to be able to do otherwise.
