it is actually pretty sad. 5500 voters showed up to vote in Maine, 2008 there over 259,000 voters (they had a week to show up, but they didn't). I kind of feel sorry for them. Terribly uninspired for 2012. Lot more wedge issues being talked about. Economy is front and A+ most important thing on people's minds but they want to talk about vaginas, viagra and church.

Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations--entangling alliances with none. ~ Thomas Jefferson (First Inaugural Address) War therefore from its productiveness as it easily furnishes the pretense of necessity for taxes and appointments to places and offices becomes the principal part of the system of old governments and to establish any mode to abolish war however advantageous it might be to nations would be to take from such government the most lucrative of its branches ~ Thomas Paine

If we hadnt have gone into Iraq oil would be under $40 a barrel, we wouldnt be 15 trillion in debt and the greatest transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich may not have happened
President Cheney paid back his backers massively, ya put 2 oilmen in office this is what ya get massive deregulation in financial mkts, rich have grown MASSIVELY rich no coincidence imo
pre bush oil was $25 a barrel, after $100 gold $300, after $1500 corn, steel, etc etc etc
we will be paying for their theft many years from now
the GOP solution to this is to make poor pay more, cut school lunches, cut soc security, welfare etc so people like Romney can keep gettin richer
and the crazy part is the GOP rage is driven by the fact we have a black man as president now imo
they pissed away TRILLIONS during an economic EXPANSION and refuse to spend when u are SUPPOSED to spend, during recessions/depressions
funny thing is DESPITE their efforts to derail an economic recovery until after the election the economy is fighting back, imagine if we hadnt lost 750k govt jobs from gop deficit reductions in the last yr
imo - bash away
